### Alphanumeric (Your brand name as the sender) — Varies by network

### Long code (VMN / phone number) — Varies by network

### Short code (Five-digit sender) — Varies by network

Sender ID registration is not required in Mexico. Instead, we approve all senders ourselves: PureSMS's own KYC and Sender ID verification applies to every account before a single message is sent for your safety and security.

## Compliance in Mexico

- **Opt-in:** Opt-in is required, any form is accepted by the operators (web, call center, MO, etc.), and the content provider must be able to demonstrate proof of opt-in in the event of an operator audit or a user complaint.
- **Opt-out:** Opt-out is required, any form is accepted by the operators (web, call center, MO, etc.), and the content provider is responsible for opting users out of their databases.
- **Sending times:** It is recommended to contact end users during their daytime hours unless the content is transactional or banking, such as one-time passwords or account balances.
- **Restricted content:** Political content promoting a candidate or cause · Religious content · Tobacco, electronic devices and vapes · Inappropriate words · Raffles · Fraud · Alcohol · Adult content
- **Registration:** All services must be approved by the operators in advance.
- SMS traffic in Mexico is regulated by the operators, and sending political content promoting a candidate or cause is subject to service termination.
- All A2P traffic is subject to filtering by Telcel.
- Programs should support a HELP message as a best practice.
- Companies headquartered outside Mexico are always treated as international traffic, even if they have local offices, pay local taxes and hire locally.
- Movistar, Altan and ATT segregate domestic and international traffic.
